That pretty much sums it up. I live in the NE and find that I now will have to meet a incoming friend in Bangkok 3 days before I need to extend my visa. I hope I can get it done before the trip.

All offices allow 30 days.  Some allow 45.

My office is 45 but some are 30 you need to call them and check.  In Thailand there is always engineered uncertainty because that introduces more opportunity for tea money.
