Can anyone clarify the following:

1) Do the new Immigration rules effective 4 May for getting an extended business visa apply to foreigners working for any company, or are they only applied to those employed by new start-ups?

2) In Bangkok is it true that the One Stop Service Center has different requirements for the business visa than Immigration on Suan Phlu? If so, what's the difference?

I've heard conflicting stories on these issues. My company was a start-up last year, and I received my first 1 yr extended business visa in Sep 06. Would appreciate any clarification on this.

It's been about 3 years since I investigated into those issues you're querying about - so I'm an outdated source. However, since you don't mention anything about BOI, I have to ask - have you investigated into BOI-promotion? --- The main difference between 'One Stop Service Center' and Suan Phlu is that the former is sort of a VIP shortcut through the barriers (provided you can show some stamped and signed paperwork from BOI).

Unfortunately my business doesn't qualify for BOI privileges, but thanks for the suggestion.
