Bypass Paywalls

Featured Replies

More and more content is being put behind paywalls, which makes important information inaccessible for many people. There is an addon for Chrome and Firefox that enables you to, as the title suggests, bypass the paywalls. It doesn't do anything illegal. It's just that most sites will give you a certain number of free articles before they shut you out. The extension ensures that cookies are continually wiped in order to keep extending your free allotment.

The original was called Bypass Paywalls and is available for Chrome and Firefox. There is an updated version called Bypass Paywalls Clean, which is what I use with Firefox.

Of course it is illegal

Quality news is still available for free, i.e. The Guardian.

How can people expect to get quality news for free? Somehow has to pay those journalists, editors, etc.

I think it's only fair if people pay their fair share.

And for students and other people with little money there are often special prices available.
