Whats That Smell

Went out in Bangkok this weekend and decided to venture further that soi 21 for a change.

found myself in the Old londoners bar in soi 33

and was woundering if the smell that i encountered in there was a permanent thing??

i mean it really stunk.surely someone must have noticed!

anyway the food was good.i has steak and kidney pie,yummy.

then i went to gulivers in soi 5 .i love that place.real good atmosphere and loads of great looking girls to see.But the rugby was cancelled so had to find other entertainment.

finally ended up in soi cowboy and was relly surprised to find no ladyboys!!!

i last went there about 5 months ago and the place was crawling with them!!

whered they all go?? (thankfully they have all gone)

had a great evening there for the first time in yonks.

any other good bars like the londoner,but without the smell??

i saw a new bar called the Robin Hood. has anyone been there yet?think it was near soi 33.

The smell is prolly from the Hops that they brew for there local cloudy bilge that they sell(+tax).

Rugby was not cancelled,Just that Star Sports in HK wanted to show the Tennis from SW 19 but the game was on at 12:30am.Great match it was 2.

Yep..Did the Robin Hood on my last visit.

Bit like the Lon-Dub-She-nags and other Expats gin joints...nice and clean,good service and not too peng.

I heard that there is another one opening soon around Soi 33...the nags Head or similar.

The old Bulls Head (dogs billhooks -toss the Boss)etc.is still open till 2-00am and good quiet end of night hangout plus handy for the "Villa"but u gotta get your beer in earlier.

It is a bit like the moms in younger years, saying that little Sally had to be home by 11.00 pm, in the fond belief that horizontal games didn't start until after mid night. Same same with the booze.

Never have and never will understand the attraction of travelling thousands of miles to be in an exotic Asian country only to park ones arse in a replica of a British/Irish or whatever pub. what a F@cking waste of time.

not quiet sure what your getting at?

some of us live here permanently and like to goto these bars, not only to get a feel of home, eat some nice food, but also to meet and talk to other expats.

i not sure that meeting other people and having a fun time in a nice atmosphere is a 'F@cking waste of time'

but if it is tell me why?
