Marijuana Street Vendor Caught By Tourist Police

The Pattaya tourist police were informed by a few tourists that a Thai man was offering marijuana to people in Walking Street and when tourists refused his offer, he would make a big scene out of it.

At about half past midnight on 29th June, officers inspected the informed location and found the man; Wichet Hachiasoon, aged 27, from Chanthaburi province acting suspiciously when he saw the officers.

When searched, a bag of marijuana was found, therefore he was escorted to the Police Station with the evidence.

Wichet confessed that he bought the marijuana from a woman on Pattaya Beach Road to sell to tourists in Walking Street for 200 Baht.

He stated that he is a boxer by profession but it doesn’t give him enough income and he found this business was providing good money to support himself.

He was charged, and further proceedings are ongoing.

It always amazes me reading stories like this.

Every day of the week the same guys are tryingto sell drugs to people on walking street.

When the police stroll down they just move to the side of the road and sometimes even smile and say hello !
