"Trump is a convicted rapist " Nonsense. There is no conviction. In a civil case, Trump was found “liable” for sexual assault. Based on an event near 30 years ago that most likely amounted to nothing more than if two middle aged adults hooked up in the storage closet up at an office Christmas party. The female plaintiff, who can’t even remember what year it happened is aggrieved because Trump called her a liar. A lifelong Democrat with an axe to grind. A nasty woman who used Trumps’ notoriety to aggrandize and enrich herself in the aftermath of the “me-too” movement. An environment similar to the Salem Witch trials. But even if all the same evidence had been presented and the defendant was any other American citizen, even the “so-called Judge” who presided would never have let this case proceed. A political takedown. Do you remember the name, or even the face of the girl you CONSENSUALLY snogged and dry humped at a College party 40 years ago. Of course you don’t. A nothing burger that became a judicial travesty. If these can come for Trump, you could be next. -

Heavy duty speaker stands in Thailand? Where to buy them or get them custom made?
A little update. In the past I bought aluminium profiles from a company in Bangkok. I contacted them again and asked them if they can produce custom made plates with holes. They confirmed they do that with up to 10mm thick aluminium plates. So now I have to make some drawings and then I can order my custom-made plates to get exactly what I want. They manufacture mostly profiles like these which can be used for lots of things. -

NSPRT Calls for Mass Protest Against Constitutional Amendments for Thaksin
Principles established by Prayuth when he binned the constitution after his coup. As for Mr Chaiyamongkol , looks a bit old to be leading students ? Did he ever take to the streets to protest the coup ? Nice military haircut though. -

Harris-Walz Campaign Opts for Media Silence as Election Nears
WHAT WAS THAT!!!!!! I don't know what she was using, but it had to be some really good stuff. If she is stone cold sober, we really are in BIG trouble if she wins. Trump doesn't need ads anymore, all he has to do is put clips from that on tv. She's probably too embarrassed to show her face in public now and is trying to get every trace of it deleted. The really sad thing is that there will be posters on this very forum that will invent excuses for it eg she had a cold, she was on a long flight etc -

Taylor Swift Shines in Poll, Surpassing Expectations Against Trump and Harris
Trump had no experience in 2016, which was a positive in your opinion. I really can't see any reason for her to run in 2028, but if she were, trump would not be her opponent. -

School Bus Overturns in Sisaket, 20 Students Injured
Lack of concern for children here is appalling. I see this daily where the buses are overcrowded and many students actually sit on top of the buses. This is prime example of the lack of concern for life here. If it's going to happen it will is the thinking, instead of doing things to ward off possible accidents, like spending money on better buses, better trained bus drivers, enforcement of laws already on the books, wearing helmets, not allowing children under 15 to drive without a license, not having more than two on a scooter and more.- 1

When to retire in Thailand: A guide to your dream retirement
LTR also has requirement for insurance coverage. WIth the costs of hospitalization here, and stories of tourists/expats having accidents or health needs and no coverage, made the govt to consider a 300 baht tax on every tourist coming in but that was droped...now it is back in the news but not so that it will be an insurance coverage for tourist but add to the govt coffers suffering from a lack of funds. If one wants to stay without any insurance or fallback plan with a large banking account, I think some here are tired of the "go fund me" requests from hospitalized folks or for sending the body home or local funeral costs. My opinion anyway. -

Teamsters’ Neutral Stance: A Blow to Harris and a Challenge for Trump
21 k involved in the internal poling is small fraction of the 1.3 million teamster membership. Hardly sufficient to draw any conclusion. Endorsement of regional teamster unions of Harris are much more conclusive on who they support.
