Wouldn't Cuban or Mexican studies be more appropriate to the location.

They make a damn tasty sandwich, FL's Cubans anyway (the Cuban ????????), right up there with Philly Hoagies.

And our fine friends from South of the border, certainly know how to stuff tortillas.

Considering 13% of the US population is black and 19% is Latino (27% Latino in Florida).

Why must everything be about black people, do Hispanics have no worth?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Florida

"According to the 2020 census, the racial distributions are as follows; 51.5% Non-Hispanic White, 26.6% of the population are Hispanics or Latino (of any race), 14.5% African American, 4% Native American, and 2.3% Asian, Oriental and other."

OK say you’ve found out some statistics.

So what’s your aversion to some history?

From Don't Say Gay to Don't Say Black. It's disgusting that this neo fascist populist demagogue is so popular. Yeah he would be better than Trump but that's like saying eating liverwurst is better than eating cockroaches.

This charlatan doesn't care about solving real problems for Floridians like the housing crisis. It's all about his divisive culture war garbage in his attempt to propel him to the presidency. Will Americans be fooled again?

If Trump could fool 'em ... who knows?

He's basically what every decent person feared - a more cunning and intelligent version of Trump with the same mindset, policies and direction.

We don't know what his actual mindset is but we do know that he's prepared to speak to the lowest common denominator for political advantage. Just like Trump.

That's how politicians win elections.

If only we could prevent the common man voting the world would be a perfect place.

You assume the ‘lowest common denominator’ resides with ‘the common man’, which is precisely the low opinion the rightwing elite have of working people.

Meanwhile, the facts on preventing ‘the common man voting’ are clear, vote suppression is a well and widely practiced policy of the GOP.

Who do you think the 'lowest common denominator' is?

If it were up to me no wealthy people (or people with wealthy families) should be allowed to run for public office. Even going to a private school should exclude a candidate from running for office. They only represent themselves and live entirely separate lives to the 'common people'.

I'll give you a hint: It isn't a person or people.

The expression "lowest common denominator" is used to describe (usually in a disapproving manner) a rule, proposal, opinion, or media that is deliberately simplified so as to appeal to the largest possible number of people.

I'll give you a hint, you should be arguing with Chomper on this point.
