Popular Post webfact Posted February 2, 2023 Popular Post Posted February 2, 2023 Daily News Thai Caption: Big trouble A Bangkok taxi driver who witnesses said refused a fare outside the Arnoma Hotel in the Lumpini area of Bangkok has been arrested by the Lumpini police. Prasert Phromsak, 46, was picked up outside a building site on Withayu (Wireless) Road in the Thai capital and served with an arrest warrant for causing grievous bodily harm with a knife, reported Daily News. Witnesses had seen him refuse a fare then get involved in attacking Prathan Suksri with a knife. Prathan was taken to a local hospital after the attack late at night on December 29th last year. Prasert admitted he had refused the fare but said it was too far and he feared he wouldn't have enough gas. He claimed that the potential passenger had kicked his cab and made as if to attack him first. So he responded with a knife in self-defence. Lumpini police took him away. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-02-02 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. swm59nj Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 One question is. Was the driver in the car or standing outside. Because if inside he could have just driven away if felt threatened.

Passenger kicked the door - something that would be unusual to do from inside. Witnesses saw this happen, which makes it more likely to be outside. Conclusion from a Thai Visa certified detective: Passenger kicked the car while cabby was inside. Cabby they got his knife, got out of the car and stabbed the passenger. You can take that to the bank ????

Or the prospective passenger shouted the Thai equivalent of "you lazy <deleted>" and the taxi driver saw red and got out and stabbed him.
