Anyone else at low risk of stroke struggling with whether take ant-coagulant for atrial fibrillation?

I have asymptomatic paroxysmal afib and a Chads-Vasc score of 1 and a HAS-BLED score of 1, both based on my age, 65. I've read there's no expert consensus on whether afib patients in this lower category of risk should take anti-coagulants. I do worry about possibility of stroke but also possibility of bleeding, and am struggling with the risk-benefit calculation of taking vs not taking anti-coagulants. Appreciate hearing from anyone else in this position, how you handled, if you found a good specialist in Bangkok to advise, etc. Thanks.

I am no expert & of course you should research your own case as much as you can but

 

I have had PSVT for 30 years now on & off & also now have many PVC's & PAC's I am 66

I am in very good health otherwise with a strong heart that is structurally fine. I take no meds like Cholesterol,BP etc as I'm all good there

 

I do sometimes take low dose aspirin just because it is simple & as someone once told me makes a slippery heart ????

He has a ton of videos on various Afib, PSVT. SVT. PVC's etc etc & is very informative

I think if your chas score is 1, you don't go on anti coagulants. Only 2 or above, is the protocol. I think it's the comorbidities that push your score up......cholesterol, BP, smoking, obesity etc. That's why some cardiologists are saying that AF doesn't lead to strokes.

i have had 3 strokes and docs gave me  blood thinners clopidogrel ...but they dont agree with me so i take aspirin 75mg .so far so good with statins .still hiking and biking whilst watching my BP daily

If score is 1, which is my score, it's controversial whether you need anti-coagulant. That is why it is difficult for me to decide. So wanted to hear other people's experience.
