But again, you are missing the point. Jews were ALSO barred from returning to their homes in Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, etc. Same as the Palestinians. Why weren't the Palestinians absorbed into the 22 surrounding Arab nations, the same way the Jews (who were also "nakba'd") were absorbed into Israel? Israel did not put the Palestinians into camps. Their "brother" Arabs did. They refused to allow them any civil rights whatsoever. Instead, they fed them this myth about one day returning to their old homes in Israel. This is where the roots of the conflict lie. The Israelis took in Jews from other countries who were expelled. The Arabs did NOT take in Muslims from other countries who were expelled. So now we have a region where Muslim/Arabs control 96% of the land, if not more. Also 96% of the population. Jews are only allowed in one country. Muslims/Arabs are allowed in all of them. Simple question: why can't the Arabs take care of their own people, the way the Israelis did? The historical circumstances are largely the same. Yet the outcome is so different. -

I don't like the killing of innocent civilians. My point is that Hamas would wipe out all Jews, intentionally and indiscriminately, and Hamas would celebrate the killing of children. If Israel had the same attitude as Hamas there would be far more civilian casualties than there have been. I agree with you on this to a certain extent. In an ideal world we would end up with 2 states living in peace. Sadly I'm not optimistic about that outcome.- 1
