BANGKOK, March 3 (TNA) – Prime Minister General. Prayut Chan-o-cha commended Thailand’s progress on field of waste management through bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Japan, according to Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister and Acting Government Spokesperson Anucha Burapachaisri.

Thailand’s cooperation with Japan on field of waste management has been forged under the Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Waste Management, signed in 2016 between Ministry of Industry’s Department of Industrial Works and Environmental Regeneration and Material Cycles Bureau, Ministry of the Environment of Japan.

Later, both parties came to terms to renew the Memorandum to promote bilateral cooperation in a wider range of waste management areas.

So the PM has very low standards.

The only standards that he might hold would be the variety that benefits him and his cronies.

BTW, why do we continuously refer to the good General as a Prime Minister?

He's not that [technically/legally]. Never has been.

Hmmmm.....just saying. ????

Thailand is largely a open-air tip, a complete failure in waste disposal management, un-regulated rubbish tips, roadside dumping, excessive burning, waterways pollution.

Sadly LOS is a waste dump in many places. Koh Chang is a filthy place, both land and water.

I love it here and find this so sad. Swimming and seeing the plastic waste everywhere.

My home nation is a littering haven too (despite years of campaigns to not litter and fines for doing so) with streets and roadsides littered with food containers or every description.

Phuket, my home now, is also slowly drowning in rubbish dumped all over the place.

The shocking burning of plastics by many many locals is also shocking and incredibly toxic.

We have the most arcane, sparse garbage collection system on the island (if one could laughingly call it a system???).

Does not really take much more than a lip service. But, given his happiness on the subject, he might focus to attend to the next irrelevant nuisance, the fantastic air quality in the Land.

The Thailand map is accurate, 4 March 2023, whereas the Nong Khai reading was taken Wednesday earlierst morning, i.e. three days ago.
