webfact Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Picture: SanookSanook reported that Nang Rong police in Buriram were called to a one vehicle accident between KM markers 108-109 on Route 24 in north eastern Thailand. It was in the same area where three members of the Wong Mahahing music group were injured recently. In the central reservation an Isuzu pick-up was overturned. Ten meters away was the dead body of 61 year old Therdsak. He had been thrown from the vehicle head first into a tree stump. A rescue foundation official said it was unclear whether the victim had had a microsleep or a burst tire. But he was not wearing a seatbelt. The vehicle was used to trasport workers and the victim was on his way home after delivering them. Sanook made much of the "double whammy" bad luck of the driver in their headline, only mentioning the lack of a seatbelt in the body of the story. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-03-04 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post Henryford Posted March 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2023 "microsleep" seems to be the cause of every accident in Thailand. Never bad driving of course. 4
hughrection Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 The seat belt would not have saved that guy. The roof is crushed flat! His best chance in my opinion was that he was threw from the vehicle. The tree stump was just incredibly bad luck. Nevertheless, I automatically put on the seat belt every time. Life habit.
Popular Post Will B Good Posted March 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted March 4, 2023 Seatbelts are only worn by wusses in Thailand........anyway, if you have a half decent amulet you won't need a seatbelt. 5

spidermike007 Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Some of us do what we can to increase our chances of survival, well being and bodily health. Some don't seem to care. Being reckless simply increases the odds of disaster. They are already stacked against us on the road here, so it seems a bit cavalier to not take whatever precautions we can.
