Just returned to Thailand for extended stay, residing in Condo belonging to brother in law who recently passed away in UK. Aware of need to lodge TM30 report, to avoid issues with future 90day reports amongst other reasons I’m sure. I am going for my 12th retirement extension before this months end. I've done numerous extensions and 90 day reports over the years and never a problem. ikke1959 Posted March 11, 2023 Share Posted March 11, 2023 Last year I went on a holiday in Europe and I asked do I have to do the TM30 reporting when I come back and the immigration office answered, yes you have to come for your address and we give you a new 90 days form....so no problem.. As an owner of a Condo you subscribe yourself as a landlord, you expert you:). Clearly you never had a property in Thailand:). Sound like you live in Thailand. If you went on holiday to Europe and returned with reentry permit to your place of residence then TM30 is not required. Which immigration office? It seems like there are landlords around who can’t be bothered, so it’s a cheap easy option to have a hotel do it. Would that work? I have not tried it. I live in Thailand yes and that was immigration office in Phetchaburi, Tha Yang. It certainly works for the folks obtaining eg 30 day extensions to visa exempt and tourist visa extensions. Thinking expats living in Thailand on long extensions (12 months) need to have a legit address for 90 reports etc. Personally I have never done a TM30 as have never changed address. My first ever 12 month extension 10 yrs back immigration just accepted my lease. The OP however is moving into new address and staying in Thailand for 10 months. Not sure how how he will do TM30.
