Bbc World Service

Featured Replies

Hello all, when living oversea's I have always enjoyed listening to the Beebs (BBC) world service on the radio.

I bought a multi band transistor radio recently and managed to tune in briefly to world service but too much interference from other channels. What is the way ahead here, buy a bigger more powerful radio and stick an ariel on the roof perhaps??. I am not interested in listening through the internet etc.

Many thanks

A more expensive radio should separate the signals from interference better but you should get reception on just about anything provided you are not surrounded by concrete and metal.

Where did you buy your radio? In Bangkok? I want to buy a portable SW radio, primarily to listen to BBC also. I can't find any for sale here up country (Eissan).
