Naew Na Thai Caption: Found in Sattahip

An anti-tank rocket launcher has been found in a field in Sattahip on Thailand's eastern seaboard.

Members of a company told the Sattahip police who found the weapon in Moo 4 in Sattahip sub-district.

Fortunately it did not have an actual rocket attached, reported Naew Na.

It was taken away for more detailed examination by Navy weapons personnel.

It had the name and number or "ARMA44 82 0009" and was not considered dangerous.

All perfectly normal probably just some hijinks by drunken police or army letting off steam ????

Looks more like a homemade toy, than an actual war weapon.

Probably discarded by someone who has it in his possession for long time already and with no rockets to use it with got rid of it before it will cause him grief with the authorities.

Quick, melt it down!

Surely the real story here is that six out of the seven Thais in the picture are not wearing face masks...

rocket launcher has been found

It's been brought in by the Russians, probably the same device that brought down Malaysian Airlines flight 17

Ehhh?

Looks like tube from some sort of a Light Anti Tank weapon (LAW).

Once fired, the tube is disposable. They can't be reloaded and used again.

That said, the "empty cases" are normally accounted for and kept or disposed off securely. We always kept a number, suitably weighted, to hang on people to stop them getting too frisky. Most infantrymen will carry one as part of their "load".

Yes They look like toys, but they're not, and many single use rocket launchers are actually made of cardboard
