Meanwhile, local primate specialists and conservationists have identified a window of opportunity here and are now frantically scouring the Thai Criminal Code for something/anything to legally bamboozle the Aussie. Dire times call for dire measures.

I looked twice too, then I read he is an 'influencer'. Modern parlance for a p.r. man. So I guess he was helping her with her homework while she was absent from school..............( and, no, I am not a fan of the spoilt little b****).

Why because she has autism or because she is an advocate for science?

The facts behind the picture of the family with Greta is that the family sailed across the Atlantic and Greta hitched a ride with them.

These guys have a large following in YouTube.   Thailand tourism takes another hit.    I would be <deleted>.  What would my penalty be because the monkey that bites me is no more.

sad to see them get aggressive , but or would it kill people to part with a few bananas?

You ever been to these places where they allow visitors to buy bananas to feed the monkeys? You either buy a LOT of bananas or you wait until the next punter shows up with their bunch to start feeding them and make your escape.

Obviously, the same as with the monkey bite.

Leave no stone unturned comes to mind.

Phi Phi Don was developed last century as a cocoanut plantation and the monkeys were likely brought there for harvesting.

Past tourists have also fed the them creating the problem today.

With the number of people bitten at Monkey Beach on a daily basis perhaps TAT should not promote the place.

The other five injections around the bite site were likely rabies immunoglobulin. Then a shot of rabies vaccine in the arm followed by another four spaced over time.

This is crazy. Monkeys attacking an infant would be very scary. They are powerful and can be vicious.

Any kind of stick or bamboo staff scares the monkeys into submission. Perhaps they should provide bamboo on perilous beaches and at temples with monkeys? Or, would that simply be too proactive?

Why are you telling me all that?
