Well, the organ harvesting is a domestic activity in China.

Maybe got the wrong countries:

A court in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) has handed prison terms to eight people involved in a kidney trading ring that sent 37 Vietnamese to Cambodia as organ donors.

Thai officials in Bangkok and Beijing were scrambling on Thursday and Friday to contain a highly damaging viral campaign on Chinese social media actively discouraging people from visiting the kingdom. The sensational and outright false claims targeted potential Chinese holidaymakers.

Like being ripped off by taxi mafia

Like being ripped off by RTP

Like being extorted by Thai immigration...

all false of course.

Thailand has sought to reassure Chinese travellers that the country is a safe holiday destination following widely circulated claims online about the risk of human trafficking.

Damage control in full swing...

The warnings are being aimed at the wrong demographics.

They should be warning tourists of other countries that there are likely to be hordes of Chinese tourists in Thailand.

1998 I got a REALLY COOL (and Cute) tour guide-ess from Khon Kaen to show me around. She was registered at the G-Spot in Nana Plaza as an official tour guide (I swear it's the truth Guv'nor!!).

We wound up in Nong Nooch Hardons...err, Gardens and I had my first encounter with a Chinese tour group. They somehow got between me and my tour guide, and I felt like a rugby player trying to get thru that crowd..

I'm glad they didn't have the COVID.. I survived with just several bruised ribs and a bloody nose.

Lookalike the CCP scoring its citizens from travelling abroad incase they learn how the rest of the world actually is. This would weaken years of their xenophobic propaganda.

I hope this is a wake up call for Thailand so they are more cautious with future dealings with the CCP.

I agree with your protective sentiments.

It is with deep regret, and born of an abiding concern for the safety and welfare of our Chinese brethren, that I must add voice to the chorus of other well-wishers:

My Chinese brothers and sisters, please do not risk the existential threat that travel to Thailand poses; go anywhere else in the solar system, but make no landing in Thailand. ????

Good news actually.  Most of us older Falang will probably be safe with out filthy low functioning kidneys and fatty deteriorating livers.  Who would want them?

Apparently you are unaware of the health benefits of stewed bats and pickled duck feet.

I walked into a restaurant in Taiwan once & grabbed a tray of Kimchi....Pickled cabbage...not bad.

Actually it was pickled duck feet, and it was REALLY BAD.

I had no fork to stab it with, just chopsticks (couldn't tell it was rubber), and that was probably the most VILE thing my mouth ever tasted.

If anyone has orchestrated this, I would imagine that the Chinese businessmen and their investors who have just had their dodgy businesses shut down by the Thai authorities might be a good place to start.

They clearly have the means, motive and the money to launch a vendetta like this.

If I was in charge of China I would not want my citizens going to Thailand in case they got to like the herb too much. ????

They already have it in the West, they grow it for the seeds and Oil for their food and the hemp for ropes and things ... like pick the Tips of a half grown one, and Look out of the Villagers catch you ...

... And well back in 86 was it, the Comment from the Local cops when they caught us with some, which we said that we smoked !!! ... He rolled a spiff up .. Light up ... Coughed !!! ... pay and threw it down on the floor and stamped on it ... "You do not smoke that <deleted> do you" !!! (With you must be Crazy Implied ...

... And then back on to more Important issues like how we had gotten Hundreds of Kilometers past the Last legal Provincial border post for Tourists ... With out them seeing us.

... (Answer, get a Bus map in Chinese Compare it Geographically with an English one, so you know which busses are going where by their Chinese symbols that you can get off of the Chinese Bus map, ... and get the farmers to , as the bus was leaving. jump on, ... and keep your head down !!! ...)

... Though well that is all just another story I guess ....

Though, ... Dualism, the Town council and Bus people ... do the Town council commerce and welcoming people business ....  But Police just do the Police Business ... So if there are no Police at the Bus station !!! .... Well Good Luck Mate !!! ... and on you go ... and if soy get sent back, well then just turn off and go another way at the last bus station. .... Given not to many Police men are up at 8 am ! ? ...

Certainly, Chinese gangs seem very active in Thailand. No denying that. As they are in Cambodia as well.

The Chinese crooked casino runners have totally ruined the coast of Cambodia. Taken over the old port as well I hear, but have not personally seen., If the local people were poor before, now they are even poorer.
