Well nobody ever overdosed on tobacco and its quite relatively rare to overdose on alcohol.   There are plenty of other ways that those two substances can kill you.  Just look at the packets that cigarettes come in if you need inspiration.

Alcohol and tobacco are good examples of recreational intoxicants - i.e. they have no medicinal value and can easily be used occasionally and in moderation, and enjoyed by people without them having to be alcoholics or chain smokers.
