Don't think that is going to happen. The USA Republic has had its day and from what I see and read (both left and right news outlets) they will end up as some kind of police state or perhaps a big split left/right.  Unfortunately, this could affect Americans living overseas if the worst happens. Already Saudi's and Brazil are talking about using the Chinese currency for oil sales and this could be the beginning of the fall of $ as the international currency. This is just an opinion...not an argument.

Another case of both-sidesism. This is how Trump's deranged behavior and the deranged conspiracy theories rampant on the right are mitigated by the assumption that the same kind of thing rages on the liberal side. Please share with us any major Democratic politician comparable to Trump? And what conspiracy theories rampant on the progressive side are comparable to those on the right?

This is how the majority of my friends and family feel. We want to find middle ground, no bat s..t crazy folks who want to push hidden agendas while outright lying like many in congress, the Senate and within the past few cabinets have done. Taking care of the people is what's needed, but at the same  there needs to be a balance with funding outside the US. Other countries stepped away from helping others and the US was seen and is seen as the savior or big bad wolf.  China has created more issues as well as Russia. Of course this is my view.

The usual uproar and surge of support for Trump's endless crimes but it will die off. Fact is that prosecuting ex-leaders is common in democracies even in developed countries such as France,South Korea and Italy. America democracy although flawed have faced tough challenges before and survived. Trump and his acolytes are just a tiny speck in US democracy history. The majority voting population of USA are educated, informed and progressive in their views and projected their views in the 2020 and mid-term elections. The Trump circus will not last and his hate mobs will fade back into the woodwork when there is no Trump.
