Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt dismissed a report today (Monday) that the city administration has cancelled the celebration on Silom Road, saying that the event on the road is usually organised by the private sector and whether the road will be closed to traffic will depend on the traffic police. “If there are many people celebrating Songkran there, the police will close the road anyway,” he said.
