snoop1130
The Royal Thai Army has already ordered the suspension from duty of Sgt-Maj (second class) Khemarat, an alleged hacker who claims to have gained access to the personal data of about 55 million Thai people. They are trying to trace his whereabouts. In a statement released yesterday (Monday), to refute allegations that it has been dragging its feet, the army said that the non-commissioned officer was suspended from duty on April 7th, after failing to report to work since April 3rd, adding the army has been coordinating with the police to track him down to face charges. Khemarat, also known by the name “9Near”, has been charged with violations of the computer and cybersecurity laws for allegedly hacking into the computer system of the Public Health Ministry, to steal personal information from the Mor Prom app for sale to anybody who is interested. Popular Post ThailandRyan
Guess you can not fire him until he is convicted. Another inactive post. One wonders ders if he will still be collecting his pay once caught, since he is now AWOL his pay will be docked for days missed.
Lucky Bones
What exactly is the level of induction into the army? Do they all join as a senior major upon posting the envelope? Never have worked this one out.????????
Andycoops
I think he's suspended himself by going AWOL... No need for a prissy announcement to confirm the obvious.

Iron Tongue
Getting access to 55 million Thais' personal data would be worth a lot. Wonder if he had any help, either from organized crime or even another country.
