Getting a Thai police check from abroad.....no longer have one of the old passports

I am Canadian (currently live in Canada) and I spent 7 months in Chiang Mai on a tourist visa (2014-2015) and 9 months in Bangkok on a tourist visa (2018).

 

I do have the passport from my time in Bangkok (2018) but not for my time in Chiang Mai (2014-2015).

 

According to the information on the web site link that I have pasted below, I need to provide all of my entry and exit stamps for going in and out of Thailand on my passport. I can only provide this for being there in 2018.

 

I have emailed them (the Thai police) and I hope to hear from them soon, but if anyone has any insight then please let me know.

 

Please note that I do at least have a picture of the old passport cover page (and of course passport number)

 

A big thanks to all of those on this forum who have always been so helpful. It made my time in Thailand much easier.

The instructions from the Thai police indicate that.

They only say "Photocopy of Passport pages with all entry and exit stamps to/from Thailand"

I'm quite certain they refer to the pages in your current passport, and not to all passports you ever had.

Local immigration office can print out your entire history, I know this because my amphur office required this to process a yellow book.

Had to do something similar years ago from the UK and was told to enclose £10 note with my application......got the certificate back no problem.

Its only about the existing passport that they want to have all stamps. 

 

My mate and I did it together and he failed because he had one of these visa run cambodia visas missing

(it fall out over the time)

This moment his Passport was invalid and he needed to provide a new one despite all entry stamps were clear visible.

Canadian here....I only had to scan the current passport pages last year. If I ever had to list all of my trips over the past, it would have taken me a week to list/scan them all.  ????????????

Hmmm....

 

I got my current passport in 2021.

 

The last time that I was in Thailand was in 2018. That was of course a previous passport (which I still have).

I am thinking to provide all of the pages of the old passport (that is the one that I used to enter and exit Thailand).

On that note:

-If I give the current passport then I think they may not be able to cross reference it.

-Not everyone will necessarily always have a current passport (possible that one may not have gotten a new passport when the previous expired in 2021).

Please let me know what you think.

I had to change once my Passport as I was working in Penglai (China) and the other time was last year here in Taipei (Taiwan) as i lost my previous one.

The Procedure was:

 

I arrived in both cases with my new Passport in Survanabhum airport and the Immigration Officer called the supervisor. I got told the Number had changed and I said that this was the case. 

The first Time I could show my expired and made invalid Passport (cut off edges)

The 2nd Time I told them the old Number (I travel a lot hence I knew my Passport Numbers) and also told that the old one was lost.

 

In both cases I got only reminded that I still had a valid visa and have to sign it over.

For the 2nd time they even reminded me to have a lost certificate on hand.

 

At the Immigration in Pattaya I gave the expired passport or the lost certificate (issued in Taiwan) and also the temporary passport which was 4 weeks valid and after receiving the new one invalidated by cut off corners, but the officer didn't bother that one at all, in that case the lost certificate was counting. 

 

In total I have now a 22 years history record in Thailand, if needed, they could have pulled me apart providing more than one expired or invalid passport.

I did this before in person at Police HQ Bangkok, only wanted to see my current passport.
