May 6, 20233 yr Popular Post Ubon Joe who passed away 3 days ago. Visa Moderator/advisor at ASEAN NOW Forum, truly a legend and a great friend. ❤️ It is with deep regret that we have to announce the death of our very good friend and moderator Ubon Joe following a short illness. Joe Reedy, 73, a dedicated individual and beloved moderator, passed away in Ubon Ratchathani, leaving behind a lasting impact on the lives he touched. Among his many services, Joe served as an expert on visa issues for aseannow.com. He joined the forum in 2008. Born in the United States, Joe dedicated ten years of his life to serving his country as a jet engine technician in the US Air Force from 1968 to 1978. Joe's relocation to Thailand over 17 years ago, followed the devastating loss of his wife to cancer. He eventually remarried and settled in Ubon Ratchathani. Embracing his passion for community service, Joe became a member of American Legion Post TH01 in Ubon. He actively participated in various roles, serving as a member-at-large and the Public Affairs Officer. Through his involvement, Joe displayed a deep commitment to fellow veterans, ensuring their voices were heard and their needs were met. He will be remembered as a resilient and honorable man who dedicated his life to serving others, both in his military career and in his commitment to going above and beyond the call of duty in helping the many people with questions and concerns about traveling, working or living in Thailand. He has had a profound effect on the lives of many. Joe is survived by two daughters from the US, his wife in Thailand and his adopted daughter, who graduated from University and is now married.
