Netizens yesterday were shocked to learn about the sudden death of a 76 year old deaf and mute woman, who was previously saved from being struck by a train. Her funeral took place recently.

A TikTok user named aphit_surat6 posted a clip informing followers of the sad news. The old woman, who had become the subject of a heartwarming story that gained significant attention online, had passed away.

A message in the post read…

“We deeply regret the loss of Mrs Lek Kasetphetch, 76 years old, a resident of Ban Song sub-district, Wiang Sa district, Surat Thani province. Before her passing, she was saved from a train accident by a heroic stationmaster. Now she has succumbed to her pre-existing health condition. It is said that neither birth nor death can be stopped when one’s time comes. May she rest in peace and find happiness beyond the human world that she once experienced.”
