Thailand's army chief has, again, said there will be "no more coups" just two days before the next Thai general election. Popular PM-hopeful has to face an inquiry from the Election Commission over a shareholding in a Thai media company, another Brit in hospital after motorbike accident and no insurance, a British guy is now in custody after assaulting a Patong tuk tuk driver. Thai man tries to sell fake 1000 baht notes for 100 baht each... sells them on Twitter with free delivery!

Tim Newton Today is a daily take on Thai and regional news and issues of interest to expats and foreign tourists.

The Wikipedia offers explanation of the lower house and upper house.  The latter is the Senate.  It has 250 members.  Details in this unofficial source are at:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senate_of_Thailand

The news media does not seem to describe the composition and how the Senators can vote for the Prime Minister.  Can you discuss on either/or Saturday and Sunday?

As soon as you hear a Muppet from the army say there is zero chance of a coup, which they want banned as a word.

You know immediately that plans are in place for one.

As we have seen previously because they tell lie after lie.
