Beer Bar Employee Narrowly Escapes After Robbery And Attempted Rape In Naklua.

Featured Replies

Police Lieutenant Colonel Samreung from Pattaya Police Station was assigned to this case of suspected theft and attempted rape which occurred early on Friday Morning. The alleged victim, Khun Ratana aged 24, a beer bar employee in Soi Beokeow was met at the scene of the crime and explained the chain of events which thankfully left her uninjured.

Khun Ratana mentioned that she employed the services of a motorbike taxi driver in Soi Beokeow just before 8am on Friday.

She wanted to go to the North Pattaya Bus Station. Instead, the driver explained that he must go to his house to collect two safety helmets as there were many Police on the streets at that time of the day. Khun Ratana thought nothing of this and the pair continued their journey. The motorbike taxi driver who was wearing a red jacket with the number 5 on his back, stopped in a remote area, Soi Loylam in Naklua and calmly demanded the sum of 1,000 Baht from Khun Ratana otherwise she would have a problem. She complied and handed over the cash.

As she did so, the unidentified motorbike taxi driver grabbed her bag containing 14,000 Baht in cash and a mobile phone. He then attempted to sexually assault the young woman who fought back and managed to escape. However a gold ring and bracelet were taken during the struggle.

A search for the taxi driver is now underway.
