BANGKOK, May 22 (TNA) — Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha, on behalf of the Thai government, handed over humanitarian aid for victims of Cyclone Mocha to Myanmar via ambassador U Chit Swe at the Government House on Monday.

 

He expressed condolences and offered sympathy to the people of Myanmar who have been hit by Cyclone Mocha. He also hoped the Myanmar and its people would quickly recover from this difficult time.

I bet he did not offer humanitarian aid and sympathy to the ordinary Burmese people who have suffered at the hands of the Tatmadaw, his Junta buddies!

How much aid? It does not state the amount, so it falls into the category of PR. 

 

And was it given to an organization that can get the funds to the people? Or, was it added to the tens of billions of dollars the generals are earning on timber, gemstones, mining, Chinese investments, slavery, and the drug trade?

The "aid" ( unspecified so probably cash or convertible goods, or things of use to the military) was handed to the ambassador.

 

The ambassador represents and is appointed by the Burmese government.

 

The government is the "Tatmadaw".

Judging from the OP photo it's a sheet of roofing material from a cyclone station which blew over the border.
