webfact
PHIMAI: -- a tragic incident claimed the life of 9-year-old Worraya Ruaichai, who was electrocuted at a power pole in a local community sports field. This unfortunate event occurred in Ban Suay, Tambon Nai Mueang, Amphoe Phimai. The sports field, built by the residents to encourage physical activities and discourage drug abuse, featured exercise areas, playgrounds, and football fields. Unfortunately, the incident took place in the evening after a rain shower when children went out to play, reported INN. Tragically, due to a lack of awareness, young Worraya tampered with the old circuit breaker attached to the power pole. The worn-out electrical wiring caused electricity to leak, and the metal pole intensified the current, resulting in her untimely demise. The residents immediately reported the incident to the Phimai Municipal Council, urging prompt repairs and safety measures. They requested high-mounted circuit breakers, protective covers to restrict access, and safety cutoff switches to prevent electrical overloads or shocks. The municipal authorities have assured the community that they will inspect, supervise, and expedite the necessary repairs. In the wake of this incident, Worraya's grieving family has arranged her funeral at the Chai Gate New Temple Hall in Amphoe Phimai. The entire community mourns the sudden loss of this determined and academically bright child, who aspired to follow in her father's footsteps by joining the military. Worraya had a passion for exercise, sports, and particularly enjoyed playing football. The responsible organization behind the faulty power pole remains unknown, although it was a community-owned facility. The school authorities express their condolences to the family and have initiated the process of filing a group accident insurance claim. Additionally, they have informed the educational district office to provide ongoing support. Worraya's funeral rites are scheduled for Saturday, May 27th, as the community stands united in offering comfort and solace during this challenging time. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-05-24 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. After the horse has bolted. Takes a child's death to get safety checks implemented. Very sad for the family. 5 1

nowhereman
A decade ago my student, a 13 year old boy was fatally electrocuted by touching a wet concrete power pole on the playground, just after the rain stopped. No one was ever held responsible for this tragedy. Most public schools are fatal traps for students. There's little to no maintenance. To make things worse, people who lay wiring and should maintain them are not even trained and certified electricians. What could go wrong. I will never forget the smile of this happy boy killed by idiots.

cncltd1973
built by people who say they know what they are doing and then promptly build it wrong. construction is just good enough at best, or a swing and a miss at worse

Popular Post Confuscious
"You get what you paid for." Period. The electric company in Thailand should step in and only supply electric IF ALL SAFETY RULES ARE FOLLOWED. No "mumbo jumbo monkey coming out of the bushes and IDENTIFY as an ELECTRICIAN." This would benefit the Electric Company and the authorities by the increased sale of Leakage Current detectors and proper GROUND wiring. Of less importance for this country are the many people which will be saved. RIP little girl. 2
