Sisaket Police Launch Investigation into Fatal Stabbing of Grade 2 Student at School

The police chief in Sisaket province has taken measures to ensure a fair investigation after a tragic incident occurred at a prominent secondary school.

 

Two grade 10 students from a well-known school in Sri Rattana district, Sisaket province, got into a heated argument that escalated and could not be resolved peacefully, reported INN.

 

As a result, one student used a knife to fatally stab his classmate, leading to the death of one student, two serious injuries, and ten minor injuries.

 

Following the incident, Pol. Lt. Col. Lap Sri Samang, the Provincial Police Commander of Sisaket, along with Mr. Taweesak Thammatham, the Inspector General of the Ministry of Education, Region 14, and Mrs. Rattikorn Thongnet, the Director of Sisaket Provincial Education Office, visited the school to hold a meeting with teachers.

 

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss strategies for enhancing student safety and security to prevent such incidents from happening again.

 

Later, they traveled to the residence in Ban Non Sawang, Phrom Sawat district, Sisaket province, to offer condolences to the family of the deceased student. Pol. Lt. Col. Lap also provided financial assistance to support the grieving family.

 

Mrs. Rattikorn Thongnet, the Director of Sisaket Provincial Education Office, expressed that she has appointed a committee to investigate the truth behind the incident and ensure a fair process for all parties involved.

 

The committee's aim is to uncover the facts surrounding the incident and deliver justice to everyone affected. As for the injured student, their condition has improved, and two out of three injured students have been discharged from the hospital.

 

The remaining student is still receiving treatment at a hospital in Sisaket, and both the school and the provincial education office are closely monitoring their progress.

 

Pol. Lt. Col. Lap Sri Samang, the Provincial Police Commander of Sisaket, stated that he has ordered a thorough investigation by the police officers to uncover the truth and gather evidence, ensuring fairness for all parties involved.

 

Additionally, they are collecting evidence from CCTV cameras within the school premises. The police are diligently conducting a detailed investigation into the incident, following his directives.

 

Furthermore, he has assigned an additional team of investigators to assist in the case to ensure fairness for all parties involved.
