In awe of diabolical tyrants much? You praise Assad. He was kept in power because of the presence of Hezbollah militia units. In 2017, 10,000 elite Hezbollah fighters were assigned to Syria. The number fluctuated over the years from a high of 20,000 to a low of 2000. Hezbollah provided the ground troops. Iran provided the missile battery units and Russia provided the air cover. Once Israel weakened Hezbollah, and pounded key Iranian missile batteries, the Syrian rebels took the opportunity to dispose of the Syrian army in a few days. If it was not for Israel's actions in south Lebanon, Syria would not have been liberated. -

Have you ever flown while fully baked?
I dropped a tab of LSD just before I got on a plane at Tan Son Nhut for my flight out of Vietnam and the war in 1971. The airplane ascended to 30,000 feet, and I continued on to 50,000 feet. Still waiting to come down from the high of surviving. -

British swap gloom of Blighty for tropical Land of Smiles (video)
Having spent two hours yesterday afternoon in a taxi from Sukhumvit to Sathorn Pier, the traffic is something to be considered in Bangkok. BTS on the way back much quicker, but with two babies in pushchairs and no escalators or lifts at some stations, still not a pleasant experience. -
