Pattaya — A group of what appeared to be bar workers attacked two Indian tourists for unknown reasons at half an hour past midnight today, June 14th, at the entrance of Soi 16 and Walking Street.

Unidentified eyewitnesses told the press that the incident happened in front of a night club at the entrance of Walking Street from Soi 16 in South Pattaya, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

Two foreign tourists, whom the witnesses said appeared to be Indians, were arguing with a group of bar workers of an unidentified establishment in the middle of the street in front of several Indian themed clubs. The two parties then suddenly started exchanging punches and blows for unknown reasons.

Some tourists recorded the video of the fight which was then posted on social media and started to go viral this morning. The bar workers were seen largely outnumbering the tourists and they also reportedly tried to bash the tourists with a rock.

Not sure... Indians can be a bit argumentative, and a few get involved, but usually they don't get physical... Thais do.......

Difference these days is Indians are somewhat bigger and heavier than when I worked a lot with them...

agreed. having taught indian kids and known indian adults i have to say that, in general, they are pretty clever and many think they are better than everyone else. sometimes, people who are... or think they are, clever tend to get in trouble easier. too smart for their own good as is often said

Nothing good happens after midnight.

Especially in "nightlife" areas.

Bed is the place to be, almost everything you can do in bed after midnight is a safer bet.

Except smoking.

I was very fortunate to have been brought up in a home where racism was not tolerated in any shape or form.  I try to take everybody at face value irregardless of race, colour or religion.  I have travelled the world and lived amongst peoples of many walks.  But Indians, God please give me strength!!

Aw but who were the people that taught them and trained them?  Who were they to look up top or down to depending?

Same with Pakistan, only you have Islam also involved.

Pakistan military has an outpost near the Afghan border with a big tree that is held down with what looks like an anchor chain.

The story goes that a Brit soldier more than in his cups stumbled out of the mess fell down and when he looked up the tree was moving so told the Pakistani servants to tie it down so it would stop moving.

Instead of an Indian club?

The usual cowardly odds then, obviously in the Thais favour if not there would certainly have been no fight

Don't pretend to know what this was all about or who was to blame , in my many years here I've only ever seen a Thai male fight one on one when it's involved a female.
