Salt Chlorinator in Winter Mode

Featured Replies

Test the supply water ph. Typically you need to dose acid twice weekly. Try 1 litre at a time in a bucket of water and spread it around. You can also get acid in crystal form. Just leave it in a bucket of water over night.

Salt systems create chlorine gas and in turn creates Sodium Hypochlorite which in turn raises the ph.

It will be an ongoing process.

I had fitted a UV system to my pool.  Almost maintenance free and fresh water.  I have no idea why anyone still fits a salt chlorinate system.  I haven't had to chemically adjust the balance in my poo

  • I feel for the OP, when I bought my place the pool had apparently been cared for by a 'professional' maintenance company. When we moved in, we decided to keep them on but it didn't take long to realiz

  • Nice to know that you are having a UV System, but your Answer doesn't answer my questions.
