Were the share's ever really in his name or the name of the trust with he as the Trustee. What does it matter, the company as a media company is defunct as far as broadcasting and he gained no advantage over others.  Moot point in my book. My fathers Trust, for which I am the trustee, has shares listed which are in a company that has gone out of business completely and they are worth nothing.  The beneficiaries get nothing.  Sounds similar to the IPTV shares, worth nothing and have no value as far as Pita getting a advantage over others.

But the obvious conflict of interest arises. The company is in dispute with the Government. Pita would be the leader of the Government.

These irrelevant old bootlicking blowhards coming out from under dead things is just proof of sheer desperation.

I wish this country could lurch into the 20th Century, so they can set their eyes on this Century ASAP!

There is no conflict of interest it is a dispute with the administrative court.  As the PM Pita like others could ensure there is no involvement by recusing himself. It is not up to the PM to resolve the dispute.

Today the B.P. are reporting that the Move Forward Party (MFP) leader Pita Limjaroenrat may face more hurdles in his bid to become the next prime minister as a Senate panel is now looking into issues related to his assets and debts declaration.

Royalist Seree had threatened EC with dereliction of duty if the agency didn’t submit the case to the courts. EC gave him the cold shoulders. Now he is desperately embarking on a different route on assets declaration and it will mostly likely to go limp as well. Assets and liabilities declaration to NACC are mandatory for all politicians before and after taking office. Pita has not taken office and have time to declare should the land he inherited is an issue.

What I don't understand is why the entire lot of new guard get together and just say enough and install the prime minister. State it's done and they do not recognize court rulings AND new judges will be the first order of business.

They need to get down to their level and figure out how to deliver a deceive and fatal blow to the dinosaurs.

Obviously events after the election proves this incorrect. Pita has since transferred the  shares out of his name .

Read it again.

My posting concerns the fact that even an off-exchange sale (a sale not through official trading channels on the stock exchange) or a donation does not lead to his name disappearing from the official list of shareholders!

His name will therefore continue to be on the list of shareholders. When a listed stock is suspended from trading on the stock exchange, over-the-counter sales are not registered.

His claims echo those of fellow conservative activist Ruangkrai Leekitwattana, who has petitioned the EC to disqualify Pita for the same reason.

Wow. That's two dogs barking now.

LOL.

Then one would have to generally forbid all politicians to hold shares at all. The whole policy consists in promoting certain interest groups, industries and companies in the sense of a political-economic orientation. Many politicians have shares and are therefore not all independent in the distribution of public contracts, legislation and approval of subsidies. Since many have more than just 0.0003% from a closed media company.

This is laughable, where in the world does it take 3months to install a PM afteran election????

the world is watching !!!!!!

King to open new parliamentary session on July 3rd

His Majesty the King is scheduled to preside over the official opening of the new parliamentary session at the parliament building on July 3rd at 5pm.

A Royal Decree, counter-signed by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, was promulgated on Friday, announcing the opening of the first parliamentary session since the May 14th general election.

Indeed.

Same as it ever was.

In the end, this whole mess will be decided by prejudicial shadow decrees.

The darkness will get it's way.

No, the world was watching Ukraine. Then they were watching the northwest Atlantic. Now they're watching Russia.

BTW, the US votes for their leader in November but they ratify the results in early January and inaugurate the winner in late January.

Unable to form a majority government in the UK after early June 2017 election, it took the Tories 18 days to form a coalition.

Just to be pedantic ...... The king endorses all politicians - later they find certain politicians have broken the law & they are dismissed from their roles.

The EC put the King is such a situation to cause him embarrassment. Therefore, surely LM should apply to the EC. If the letter of the LM law is be followed then the monarchy has been tarnished.

No?  ????

In 2020 The Constitutional Court acquitted 57 MPs accused of owning shares in media companies on the grounds such companies were inactive in the media field. One MP was found guilty and banned.

More recently the Supreme Court acquitted a Democrat MP over the possession of 200 shares in AIS. Such a small number was deemed to be unable to affect company policy

What was the percentage of ITV's shares held by Pita? Something like 0.0135%?
