Six People Injured in Major Bangkok Bus Accident

Bangkok – At least six people have been injured after a bus crashed into a pole in Bangkok before a pickup truck overturned and a motorbike got stuck under the wreckage.


The accident took place just after noon on Saturday (June 24th) and was at the popular Ratchaprasong Intersection in Din Daeng. At the scene first responders found that the bus had crashed into a power pole and that about four motorbikes were damaged from the accident. Nearby, response teams also found an overturned pickup truck and damaged street vendor cart.

 

It has been reported from the associated Thai press that six people were injured in the incident which were five men and a woman. Their names and conditions were not immediately released to the media.

Bus Slams Into Power Pole With One Person Trapped Beneath The Vehicle

BANGKOK bus number 13 running from Huay Kwang to Khlong Toei lost control and rammed into an electricity pole at Pracha Songkhro intersection, Asok Din Daeng road, at 1 p.m. today (June 24) with one injured victim trapped beneath the vehicle, TV Channel 7 said.

 

The bus also hit three to four motorcycles and a pickup truck.

 

It was initially reported and six injured victims, five men and one woman, were helped by people in the area and bus staff who quickly sent them to nearby hospitals. Fortunately there were no fatalities.
