The Tourism Authority of Thailand has set a target of 5.3 million visitors from China, generating revenue of 446 billion baht. This is a downgrade from their own predictions earlier this year of a robust return of Chinese tourists into Thailand.

It occurred at 8.27 am and saw the left leg of a 57-year-old Terminal Two passenger travelling to Nakhon Si Thammarat province engorged by a faulty walkway escalator, causing it to be severed at the knee and prompting an emergency response at Thailand’s second busiest airport.
