The vet says our small <deleted>zu cross dog has an enlarged prostate an neutering is the best solution. They quoted 5000 baht which seems a bit high to me,

I don't know about Pattaya but our local Dog rescue, collect the dog and take it to the vet, it is free. Charity pays.

 Also about once a year are done free, down at the local health clinic (i kid you not) by a visiting vet, I presume the Amphur pay.
