LarryLEB
When I was in high school (Grades 9 - 12) in Canada, my father insisted that I add a Typing class to my curriculum. I did so for all 4 years of high school. These were the days before electric typewriters. He said it would be very helpful when I entered University. And, he was right! Brilliant! Can still touch-type today: probably 50 - 60 wpm.
frantick
Took typing classes all thru high-school, for which I was hoping to improve my guitar playing. I still mostly suck at guitar, but typing is good. I thought, also, that it would help when I got into software development. But I soon learned that designing code vs typing time is about 99% thought to 1% typing. Maybe you should try more thinking and less typing?
