webfact Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 On July 20th, a tragic accident occurred in Nakhon Si Thammarat when a black Nissan Almera, driven by Anan Srimuangmaen, 54, from Chanthaburi, veered off course and collided with an oncoming bronze-silver Toyota Vios. Preliminary investigations suggest Anan, accompanied by his wife Piyaporn Saenlao, 38, from Rayong, possibly dozed off at the wheel due to fatigue from long-distance driving, reported Thai Rath. Upon impact, both vehicles sustained significant damage. Anan and Piyaporn were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Inside the Toyota Vios, five passengers were found injured. They were identified as Somnuek Saenglok, 46, Nanthaporn Kongklaew, 18, Thida Saenglok, 18, Nitcha Thongjinda, 18, and Charuwat Aksonwong, 17, all from Nakhon Si Thammarat. Police are diligently investigating to ascertain the exact cause and to proceed with necessary legal actions.
