Popular Post Neeranam
When I retire in 10 years, I'd like to work part time as a Tuk Tuk driver. More to socialise than the money. I can do this as I'm naturalized. My question, would tourists, expats, Thais choose a 6'4 farang to drive them around? Popular Post worgeordie
I don't think the other Tuk-tuk drivers would welcome you , they would see you as competition ,and they don't like any competition ,no matter how many times you tell them your Thai and show them your passport.... bob smith
Taxi drivers in Thailand in general need a good kick up the backside! tuk tuks included. perhaps a western looking gentleman driving tourists about the place is just what the industry needs. Who knows, they may even learn a thing or two! Best of luck to you mate

Lacessit
You would probably do very well, as foreign tourists will be very comfortable with a tuk-tuk driver who speaks very good English. Your height is irrelevant seated under a tuk-tuk canopy. The only snag I would see is being a victim of your success, when the BIB cotton on, and start demanding tea money. 2

save the frogs
one thing to consider is the possibility of self-driving tuk tuks in 10 years, no more need for drivers. china already testing autonomous mini bus. but maybe thailand will not advance as quickly as other countries? do it now! don't wait until retirement. do it on weekends.
