The police showed way too much restraint. People like these need to be put in their place, especially when they're attacking police officers. Their colleague could've been seriously injured.

Please...

The police treated him perfectly. An angry kid with a toy.

They were never in danger.

A very diplomatically worded statement.   Well done, RTP.

  • I wonder if he would have acted like that at a Chinese airport.

  • Yeah, and what if he would have injured someone. He in fact, assaulted a public official with a deadly weapon. Next time a taser, baton strike, choke hold and handcuff would show they do not take

Yeah, no one ever gets injured from a blow to the head with a hard, heavy, blunt object.

It wasn't a crowbar, it was a toy.

They knew they were in control.

They acted like professional men, officers of the law.

Props to them.

There's nothing heavy about a skateboard.

They treated him according to the low threat he is.

They exhibited good judgement

The officers treated him as the low threat he was.

This is not a chinese guy.  It is actually Bam Margera in a costume.

It was filmed as one of the skits to be included in the next Jackass movie.

It was filmed on Tik Tok for a reason. ????

No one really got hurt and the two other officers were just standing by just

That's just luck. If any of those skateboard swings connected the officer would've been in the hospital now. I get that they just wanted him out of their hairs, but they should've arrested and prosecuted him so he can be blacklisted from returning to Thailand. He'll probably just come back and continue being obnoxious, because he thinks he can get away with it (which apparently he can).

Quite agree, once this gets on social media, maybe already has?

I suspect it was filmed on Tik Tok for a reason.  You should see what's happening in the UK at the moment with these so-called social media pranksters.

"...because im a knob...".

Did he?  Did the skateboard ever hit the officer?

Probably the most idiotic reply I've had here in years.

Why?  There wasn't any inaccuracy in it.  If you see any, point it out, specifically.

But a tool to impose injury was, even the China man thought it was, the police thought it was....

What about the families watching it, thinking the worst, the bloke should be cuffed and dealt with.

If, the implement/weapon did make contact, this would be a different type of thread....????

May I ask, Is he really a chinese in blood. He look well enough like a brit or at least like a westerner in his body........

I thought he looked quite tall for the average Chinese, and yes, there was something about his physique that made him different.  Having said that, China is a huge country with many different ethnic groups.

Attempted Assault is an offense!

You sure?  Which section of the Thai Penal Code covers that?

  • Popular Post

The guy wasn't just holding a skateboard, he was using it as a weapon to keep the police at bay, I would call that, attempted assault, the police on the ground, treated it as attempted assault..... ????

the mere act of swinging the skateboard at the officer was an 'attempted assault' because it displayed intent to injure.

The guy was pathetic and they treated him as such.

No need for anything else.

Under which section of the Thai Criminal Law or are you quoting another country's law?

This must have taken you quite a while. Good job!

You seem to lack context.

There were three officers there.

These are not the situations that you have painstakingly dug up.

But your time is your time. Up to you

If the Chinaman had tried his stunt in the USA or UK he would have been taken down, noooo question, cops don't come to work to be threatened by a tool........End of..........

No, no, the ones who are claiming that it is the law are the ones on whom the onus is prove it.  How could I prove the existence of a law that doesn't exist?  Laws specify what are offences, not what are not offences.

Ok, actually I can, sort of...no section of the entire Thai Criminal Code covers that specific offence but you'll have to read it to see.

Well, the Thai cops are not afraid of a kid with a toy.

The British cops just arrested an autistic kid for saying the word, "lesbian"

There you go. Such high standards

THE owner of a shop selling cannabis infused craft sodas on Khao San road was arrested today (Oct. 7) after using a skateboard to hit a foreign tourist on the head and face...

...he was shutting his shop he saw that his friend was involved in a punch-up with a foreign man. He then stepped in to help his friend by using his skateboard to bash the tourist’s head and after that hit him twice on the face....

...The tourist was quickly taken to Hua Chiew Hospital for treatment but could not initially be questioned because of his injury..
