bought gold a few times with cc but had to show id as well. bkk but not china town.

A few years ago my PAYG CC provider said they were withdrawing the Orange service I had £5k on it with a week to get it off and cash limits of £250 per day the only fast way was gold 5k in one hit so yes you can ????

Will depend on the shop, some might offer it. But be prepared that they add 3-5% to cover the credit card fees.

Yes.  3% surcharge. You might like to claim the amount that shows up on your credit card statement as a business expense....

Might want to check terms with your credit card bank. I inquired once and the interest / higherrate starts immediately compared to following month. and the gold shop had a 3% uo charge if paid by credit card

Yes, you can. But the shop will add a 3% charge to cover the credit card fees.

I take it you are not talking about ingots here. Gold is supposed to be the same price everywhere.

You can, but bear in mind that there will probably be a 2-3% charge for using plastic. (Many years ago I would go to the bank to get the cash to avoid that when buying an expensive airline ticket).

Most charge 3% but it is possible to find some that don't. 

Great if you can use a crypto card that gives back 4% ????
