If The Mall Ramkhamheang is considered a real mall there is plenty of much cheaper places around there. Happyland area close to The Mall Bangkapi (a huge mall) should also have plenty of apartments which is probably even much cheaper than what you are looking for. Ratchada also have plenty of accommodation withing your budget close to The street, Big C and Fortune Town. The list goes on and on, of suitable places for you. Just stay away from the city center and you will have no major problems to find a cheap apartment close to a mall. Good luck!

Dear all,

Thanks

I'd be curious to know from some of the posters making recommendations above just what kind of "apartment" the OP is likelty to find at those prices?

An actual real apartment, or, a low-end Thai single room furnished with a bed and small dresser along with a small attached bathroom, and not much else?

The word real apartment always depends on the person who looks for.
Some people think a 100m2 apartment is a shoe box and there are people who think 30m2 apartment are already a perfect size.
Every person has different desire. They only use the room for sleeping or they also want life in it?
