Thaksin suffering “fatigue and stress” in hospital : Paetongtarn

Nobody is interested except his immediate family and cronies.

They are trying to keep his profile newsworthy.

The way the Thais play smoke and mirrors, I could well see him regretting his return to Thailand.

As far as his Covid and stress are concerned, the prison is full of people in a far worse condition than he is.

It's now so repetitive, it's completely boring. He wants them to circumvent the laws of the country for him.

I can't see it happening. He's played all his cards and he's convicted, in custody and out of aces.

Really?

Imagine someone living in luxury with the perfectly designed mansion, the perfect temperature, perfect food and lots of servants. And then that someone goes to jail, because he is a convicted criminal.

Yes, for someone who until last week was living a luxury life jail might be unwelcome stress.

There is a solution: Get used to it!

Luxury jail that's going to be temporary.

Highly transmissible mutation(s) of COVID are going around in many countries, because those crafty viruses have figured out how to evade the vaccine antibodies.

Just talked to someone in America whom I told I had a "cold" and they said it was going around in Texas, Arizona and their daughter had a "cold", too.

They probably don't know it's COVID, because some people in that part of the world think Science is just a "myth" and they would never bother to test until they arrive at the ER gasping for air. ????

GET WELL SOON MR THAKSIN YOUR PEOPLE NEED YOU ????

The man is no coward, coming back was a high risk game despite deals and friends in high places; just one little cog in the machine has to stop turning and he is stuck in prison, which considering his past life style is far worse for him than an average Thai. He is a politician and businessman, a mover and shaker, not the worst of the bunch in government house but certainly no angel but then what do you expect, the company he kept on his way up are all money grabbing power hungry narcissists, laws don't apply to them, he was a policeman who became the most powerful politician in the land, feted like a king, imagine what that would do to your character.

He needs to go home to rest and serve his sentence????,there.

I am quite sure that 95% of all prisoners in Thailand feel the same but they are not treated with this gold plated treatment

Poor little sausage. Under him weren't meth addicts (addicts not dealers) incarcerated?

In the most archaic, draconian, and unnecessary manner possible, he took the idiocy of the Americans’ so-called war on drugs and pumped it full of steroids - before turning it against his own brethren. Countless individuals suffered, and families went decades without mercy or any hope for their loved ones ever coming home - over marijuana no less, more often than amphetamines. They didn’t randomly P-test for yaba before extracting every last baht from tourists/foreigners either. A bit of suffering would seem fitting for a remorseless individual who, given the opportunity, would probably reinstate the same measures immediately. Small-minded vindictiveness and extreme cruelty are the only aspects of his reign that actually move the needle for me. Totally overshadowing what were, for the time, some seemingly progressive and societally beneficial measures undertaken by his administration, in my not-so-humble opinion.

The biggest problem Thaksin has is that he awakened the masses showing them that they could have a say in how the country is governed . This will be hard to forgive.

He's doing his best to sedate the masses now under a pseudo democracy where the military still call the shots ( pun intended).

Actually, he never cared for democracy, (look at his party, run entirely by himself).

He once said, " Democracy is not my goal, the happiness of the people is.'

Meaning offer the peasants a few sops whilst the capitalists and old order still rule.

Things have changed,Thaksin. Your authoritarian CEO style has run its course. Move out of the way, Move Forward are coming through

At least he hasn't fallen out of a window so far.

Wish he would.

He is likely stressed that the deal the army agreed to is not moving as fast as he would have hoped. Be patient. No doubt you will be free soon.

They lost credibility and support of their voter base, now they are playing the sympathy card. Too bad though that only 10 days ago Thaksin and Yingluck flew to Cambodia and was stuffing his face with Hun Sen's birthday cake - no covid aftermath then...

IMHO it's all smoke and mirrors. The deal was made weeks ago and this is all part of the act. The major donations have all been made. (read brown envelopes)

Walk it off, you'll live.

Leave Thailand, stay out of Thai politics - problem solved.

Fatigue and stress? I thought he had a hypertensive crisis? Everybody has fatigue and stress and is no reason to be in hospital imho. He needs to go back to jail, stress is normal in new inmates. I do hope he isn't trying to con his public that he is sick to get sympathy.

Yes, a long history together - and golfing buddies.

Hatred?  no,no, no, this is entertainment for the masses.

The stress comes from not knowing if the deal he made for no jail time will fall through or not.

Consider how a small typo can make a big difference: "you will not get jail" is one letter off from "you will not get bail."  That's enough to ruin one's return from exile!
