webfact Posted September 7, 2023 Share Posted September 7, 2023 BANGKOK (NNT) - Elevating the skills of workers in tourism-related services is expected to help generate more income for the tourism sector and the overall Thai economy. Pattaya Hospitality Challenge 2023 is being held this month for this very purpose and to contribute to the goal of making Pattaya a world-class tourism destination. The Thai Hotels Association Eastern Chapter, the Eastern Chef’s Association, the Eastern Spa & Wellness Association, the Pattaya Professional F&B Club (PPFBC), and other partners are jointly organizing the Pattaya Hospitality Challenge 2023. The event is aimed at improving the capacity of personnel who provide services to tourists. The personnel will participate in competitions relevant to their occupation and thereby contribute to the development of quality tourism. The organizations taking part in the event believe the Pattaya Hospitality Challenge will foster the labor skills relevant to services for tourists. Said skills are believed to help create good impressions on tourists and create added opportunities for tourists to spend. These skills are also expected to support Pattaya’s endeavor to become a world-class tourism city. Competitions in about 10 service arts will take place at the event. These include cooking competitions between professional chefs, bartender competitions, barista skills competitions, and wellness massage competitions. Around 200 teams of competitors are expected to participate in the challenge. The event will also dedicate one section to the display and exhibition of food and beverage-related products. Raw materials as well as equipment and tools for restaurants, hotels, and coffee shops will be displayed and available for purchase.
