Chonburi — A 27-year-old woman, who was riding as a passenger on her husband’s motorbike, tragically lost her life when a passing pickup truck ran over her after her husband collided with another vehicle.

The husband, who was a food delivery rider, was likely looking at a GPS on his phone before he rear-ended a white Mitsubishi Triton pickup truck on Sukhumvit Road, Mueang district, Chonburi Province, according to eyewitness Mr. Kittipong Konwai, 32.

The tragic accident, involving three vehicles, occurred on Tuesday morning, September 12th. Rescue responders and a medical team from Chonburi Hospital rushed to the accident scene to find 25-year-old Mr. Chanchai Ternthao lying on the road with severe head wounds and his wife 27-year-old Ms. Suphansa Ternthao lying deceased beneath a bronze-grey Toyota Vigo pickup truck.

Delivery driver fiddling with his phone/GPS while riding. What can you say?Commonplace, everyday, everywhere.

Her husband should be charged with her murder.

That's why I always give my Grab delivery a 20B tip.  I'm prepaying for funeral expenses. ????

Nuff said.

We drive the kids to school there and back everyday. Only about 5ks but I reckon would have 3-5 near misses every day. People pulling out of side streets not looking, u turns in front of you....wrong side of the road or entering the street you are turning into on the wrong side of the road. Definitely some sort of brain lag. Usually see they wake up too late and have a look over their shoulder in the middle of their u turn or when they have already pulled out in front of you. Even pedestrians stepping onto the road without looking (looking at their phones). Dogs all over the road seem to have about as much common sense as their owners. One long stretch of road, canals either side. A few blind long bends. Just about 50% of the time someone coming the opposite way half over in the oncoming lane...and just no where for you to go. Usually in a good mood until I go out somewhere. Problem is you hit any of them and THEY have their paw out for money. Often say to the missus surprised there aren't bodies strewn all over the road. And I reckon in 10 years I could count the amount of actual accidents I have seen on 2 hands.....go figure

I remember this Guru explaining that the person ultimately responsible for any event, is the person who could have prevented this event.

All these tragic events should have been prevented by the police, who are tasked and paid for the security of the citizens using the roads here.

Actions to prevent tragedies on the roads here, are simply non-existent. And lawlessness sets in, and becomes a cultural trait.

And this had very interesting Guru teachings actually.

This Guru used a striking example to make his point.

The end of the cold war, USSR-US, in 1982, which is attributed to a letter sent by a 10 year old girl.

"

Dear Mr. Andropov,

My name is Samantha Smith. I am ten years old. Congratulations on your new job. I have been worrying about Russia and the United States getting into a nuclear war. Are you going to vote to have a war or not? If you aren’t please tell me how you are going to help to not have a war. This question you do not have to answer, but I would like to know why you want to conquer the world or at least our country. God made the world for us to live together in peace and not to fight.

Sincerely,

Samantha Smith"

Subsequently, Andropov invited the little girl: " “I invite you, if your parents will let you, to come to our country, the best time being this summer."

Samantha took Andropov up on his offer, and after careful preparation on both sides, she arrived in Moscow on an Aeroflot flight in July 1983.

This is claimed to be the onset of meetings Andropov-Reagan, which culminated in the 'End of the cold war'.

Now the Guru asked all of us listening to him: 'Who is responsible for the prevention of another war USSR-US from happening in those years?

We quickly replied the this young girl was responsible for preventing this eventual war.

Then followed another question from the Guru.

If this little girl had not sent her letter to Andropov, and another war would have ensued, WHO would have been responsible for that war.

The question was met with just silence from all of us present.

And the Guru added. Being responsible is not just about the good things that happen. If there is something that you could have prevented, and you failed to do so, you are definitely responsible for the results of your inactivity as well as your actions. Regardless of the magnitude of the events.

Took a while for all of us to grasp that...
