We found a nice looking restaurant on river. Got food poisoning. We found 3 nice temples. Overall its ordinary. Khon Kaen is much better. KK has plenty of restaurants and less farangs. Ubon had quite a few. Ubon is a slower version of Udon. Rather go back to Udon. KK to Udon to NK is easy as linked by train. There are plenty of foreigners here who lead normal lives. They just don't hang out at bars or make a fool of themselves in public. They jog in the park, they're married, they raise their kids, they volunteer, they write blogs, they do the kind of things people do everywhere. On the other hand, if you live in Pattaya you're probably going to see the worst aspects of humanity.
