In a spine-chilling incident on September 13th, 2023, a young motorcyclist racing on his high-powered bike met with a catastrophic accident. He collided head-on with a massive 6-wheeled truck that was making a turn at the Maenam Khoo Soi 5 intersection in Pluak Daeng, Rayong Province.

The impact was so severe that it sent the motorcyclist tumbling and flipping onto the road, leaving commuters in a state of shock, reported Thai Rath.

At approximately 11:00 AM, the Pluak Daeng police were alerted to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the mangled wreckage of the motorbike, a Honda CBR 650 F, with tire marks stretching along the road.

The injured rider, identified as Mr. Suphatin Khondue, 26 years old, from Bangkok, was unconscious with facial injuries and a badly broken right arm. Despite swift medical attention and transportation to Pluak Daeng Hospital, he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Security cameras in the area revealed that a 6-wheeled truck, presumably carrying a load of fruits, had made a right turn from a side street onto the main road just as the motorcyclist, who appeared to be speeding, approached. The collision happened in an instant, causing the truck to swerve while the motorbike was thrown to the ground.

Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage to determine the truck driver's actions leading up to the accident. Legal proceedings will follow as the investigation unfolds.
