The White House has struck back against congressional Republicans for considering an impeachment of President Joe Biden, urging the media to scrutinise an "inquiry based on lies".

"It is the responsibility of the independent press to treat their claims with appropriate scrutiny," top aide Ian Sams wrote.

House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced the investigation into Mr Biden, a Democrat, on Tuesday.

But there is dissent among Republicans.

Some rank-and-file lawmakers question whether they have sufficient evidence to impeach the president.

It is not uncommon for White House press officials to outline their case to journalists, but the 16-page document shows how seriously they are taking the impeachment threat.

 

Mr Sams, a special assistant to the president, addressed the memo to "editorial leaders at US news media organisations".

"After nearly nine months of investigating, House Republicans haven't been able to turn up any evidence of the President doing anything wrong," Mr Sams wrote.

"For years, Republicans in Congress have tried to muddy the waters by attracting media coverage of their allegations, and as they choose to move forward with impeachment, it is the responsibility of the independent press to treat their claims with the appropriate scrutiny," he wrote.

If Biden stopped lying and instead spoke the truth and cooperated with the investigation to clear his name and remove all doubt of his corruption, explain all the LLC shell companies and $20M in payments from Communist China companies, Ukraine, Russian oligarch Baterina, Romania, and others the impeachment inquiry would not be required. However the preponderance of overwhelming evidence of Biden's corruption despite direct proof can be resolved during the impeachment inquiry. If the facts bear out and Biden is inculpated, he stands down, is indicted, imprisoned for life or he clears his name. Impeachment is a necessary process to determine Biden's depth of corruption.

 

Anyone can see that Comer and his committee is not lying, embellishing, etc but instead dealing with intentional stonewalling, delays, lack of cooperation from DOJ  which is causing delays to the investigation. Impeachment could fix this and get the proof needed. The only lies are those of Biden and his regime partners and their massive coverup.

Archer also told that discussions on the phone with Biden were casual and not about business, and that Joe was not involved in their business. He also gives some explanations about their work for Burisma.

As to explanations about Hunter's revenues, you can also find them in his testimony during the July 26 hearing.

Congressional oversight has a responsibility to investigate and/all evidence, claims of bribery.

As long as Biden keeps lying and the WH keeps changing their stories when caught in their lies and when Biden starts to cooperate with the investigation  there will always be the need to take this to an impeachment inquiry to verify the evidence of corruption, bribery, money laundering, FARA violations and any other acts of criminal behavior including tax evasion and so on, the congressional oversight committee owes this to the American public. By lying, stonewalling, refusing to comply with subpoenas there is little choice but to pursue the inquiry. If Biden is innocent, now would be the time to start cooperating.
