The fight against the constant influx of illegal foreign workers into the Eastern Seaboard continues on a daily basis. We now have two cases where Police have rounded –up these illegal immigrants, most of which come to Thailand in search of a better life.

The first case comes from Banglamung Police Station who cooperated with Immigration Police and Region 2 Police to arrest a total of 120 Cambodian and Burmese Nationals who were seen working on a construction site in Soi Siam Country Club. At the time of their arrest each arrestee was unable to produce a passport or work permit; however some did mention that they did possess the correct documentation which will be produced shortly. The rest will be deported back to their respective countries at the earliest opportunity.

The second case comes from Sattahip Police Station where Police Colonel Somthai, the Superintendent of the Station led an operation in Bang Sarae sub-district where 48 Cambodian and 1 Burmese man were arrested at the Fishing Port, each man worked as fishermen at the port and could not produce passports or work permits and were subsequently detained and will be deported shortly.
