"Fake Police Lieutenant General" went to the police station and asked for the release of a drunk driving suspect. In the end he went to jail himself.

CHONBURI - On September 19th, Police Lieutenant Colonel Chingchai Paiboon, of the Samed Police Station, apprehended Mr. Prasit, a 59-year-old individual, on charges of impersonating a police officer, dressing like one without authority, and engaging in actions that defamed or vilified law enforcement officials.

This arrest occurred after Mr. Prasit was detained at the Samed Police Station on the night of September 17th, reported Daily News.

Earlier, the police had arrested Mr. Tari Khun for drunk driving, only to find that he was impersonating an officer by wearing a police uniform adorned with the rank of Police Lieutenant Colonel.

He then approached Police Lieutenant Colonel Chingchai, who was on duty, and requested the release of Mr. Prasit, the actual drunk driving suspect.

However, further investigation revealed that Mr. Prasit was not a police officer but had dressed as one solely to aid his friend facing drunk driving charges.

As a result, legal actions have been taken against him, aligning with the legal framework.

This occurrence underscores the gravity of assuming false identities as law enforcement officials and trying to exploit the legal system.

Most of RTP are guilty of impersonating police.

He wasn't messing about "Fake Police Lieutenant General" I wonder how many times he's pulled that stunt?

My thoughts exactly..

How do you tell a real police officer from a fake one? Is it how expensive their car is?

'engaging in actions that defamed or vilified law enforcement officials.'

You could claim they do that themselves.

Let's hope they don't read this forum.

Silly man. Would a real police go to the extent of going into another police station to request a favor without handing an envelope first? Some Thais don’t really understand the Thai system.
